How to Green your Work
- Set computers to energy-saving settings and make sure to shut-down at the end of the day. The easiest way to do that is to plug everything into a power strip so everything can be shut off with the flick of a switch.
- The greenest paper is no paper at all. Be digital when you can - send emails, share files via items such as memory sticks, and review papers on the screen.
- If you can work from home, you save more than just a trip to the office by not using your car for transportation.
- Use recycled/recyclable materials, such as paper, furniture, and refillable pens.
- For personal cleaning supplies, try the Method brand (sold at Target), which includes products like biodegradable wipes and non-toxic cleaners.
- Bring lunch to work in reusable containers and eat with reusable utensils.
