ACUPCC

In FY08, CSU became a signatory of the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC). The goal of this effort is for university campuses to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions to the point of carbon neutrality. CSU pledged to complete a GHG inventory by September 2009, which was actually completed in October 2008. The next step is to establish a Climate Neutrality Action Plan by September 2010 that details the steps for CSU to become carbon neutral. CSU is also committed to taking immediate steps to reduce emissions and also to integrate sustainability into university curriculum.
