Hours of Operation

Daytime requests are accepted between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Custodians work in two main shifts Monday-Friday: Day Shift – 5:00 AM-1:00PM; Evening Shift – 4:00 PM-12:30 AM.  Services are not provided on weekends unless prior arrangements have been made.   Services are not provided on holidays when the campus is officially closed.

Carpet Cleaning Requests

Carpet cleaning is a non-routine, fee-for-service task that is coordinated by Building Services. To request a quote for carpet cleaning, please use RamWorks to start a request for a quote. Once the form is received, Building Services will provide a fixed-cost quote for the cleaning. Customers wishing to proceed with carpet cleaning must accept the quote and complete the process through RamWorks. Once funding is approved by the requesting department, the work will be scheduled. Every attempt will be made to schedule the carpet cleaning during the timeframe given in the request. For questions or concerns please comment within RamWorks. 

Window Cleaning 

Window cleaning is a non-routine, fee-for-service task that is coordinated by Building Services.  To request a quote for window cleaning, please use RamWorks to start a request for a quote. Vendors can take up to three to four weeks to provide a quote. Once the form is received, Building Services will provide a fixed-cost quote for the cleaning. Customers wishing to proceed with window cleaning must accept the quote and complete the process through RamWorks. Once funding is approved by the requesting department, the work will be scheduled. Every attempt will be made to schedule the window cleaning during the timeframe given in the request, weather permitting. For questions or concerns please comment within RamWorks.

Window Blind Cleaning

To request a quote for window blind cleaning, please use RamWorks to start a request for a quote. Vendors can take up to three to four weeks to provide a quote. Once the form is received, Building Services will provide a fixed-cost quote for the cleaning. Customers wishing to proceed with window blind cleaning must accept the quote and complete the process through RamWorks. Once funding is approved by the requesting department, the work will be scheduled. Locking and Unlocking Doors

Building custodians are responsible for unlocking and locking all building entries on the main campus, as well as select classrooms within the building. Buildings are unlocked by 7:00 AM and locked by 10:00 PM Monday-Friday. Actual building lock-up time may vary depending on occupant needs and class scheduling.  On weekends and holidays, only those buildings scheduled through the campus scheduling office will be unlocked. As a matter of university policy, custodial staff will not unlock and provide access to buildings or offices after hours including weekends and holidays.  Individuals requiring access to buildings after hours, on weekends or holidays shall have pre-approved keys or card access as required or must contact the building proctor or department head to gain access.    

Pest Control – Indoors

Service is provided as normal service through a private contractor as no expense to the building occupants. If you have a need for this service, please call 970-491-0077, and a time will be scheduled to perform the service.   

Any special pest control services in labs or other critical locations will be provided on a fee-for-service basis.
