A. Envelope:
1. Provide insulated walls, door, and floor.
2. Provide ramp if needed.
B. Heating and Cooling:
1. Do not provide air–cooled condensing units if heating and cooling infrastructure is available.
a. Example: building chilled and heating water loops
2. Heating and cooling equipment (e.g. condensing units) shall be in a location that is easy to maintain and operate.
a. Do not locate condensing units above freezer rooms.
b. Locate in a mechanical room or accessible utility chase.
3. If condensing units must be located outside, provide easy maintenance access, electric power, hydrant, low ambient operation, and hail guards.
C. HVAC Control:
1. Provide Building Automation System (BAS) sensor for space, in addition to manufacturer controls
2. Room control panel can be by room manufacturer.
a. Type of chart recorder (e.g. paper or electronic) shall be determined during design.
D. Refrigerant selection shall align with Division 23 – HVAC.

13 34 13.13 – GREENHOUSES
A. All heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems in greenhouse structures shall comply with respective Colorado State University Planning, Design, and Construction Standards.
B. HVAC Controls:
1. Provide BAS sensors for remote monitoring of thermal conditions in addition to greenhouse manufacturer specific environmental controls.
