Capital Planning & Programming

Campus Planning
Leader: TBD, Mike Singleton in interim
Our group provides comprehensive operational and physical planning for the University’s 2,300-acre campuses. We focus on facilitation of the planning process, including master planning efforts; landscape architecture design and consultation; creation of environmental graphics and signage; regular public interface and outreach; and communications. We provide professional geographic information service, drafting, design, analysis, and space allocation for the University, and the maintenance and analysis of its physical assets.
Capital Design & Contract Administration
Leader: Associate Director Mike Rush
Works with our campus partners to administer the statutory requirements of the State of Colorado’s State Architect in capital design and construction procurement, contracting, and building code compliance process.
Engineering and Capital Construction
Leader: Assistant Director Tracey Abel
Comprised of Electrical and Mechanical Systems Design, Maintenance Engineering, Energy, Environmental Regulatory Compliance, and delivery of capital construction projects. Our contributions aide CSU’s Climate Action Plan to conserve electricity, gas, water, chilled water, and steam for existing and new facilities. The team is responsible for campus-wide compliance for water, air emissions, stormwater pollution prevention, and floodplain management.

Remodel and Construction Services
Leader: Assistant Director Dan Kozlowski
Provides design, engineering, estimating, and construction management services for renovation projects and single trade enhancements. Projects comply with building codes, University Standards, and are completed within budget, specification, and schedule. Construction Services consists of carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and low voltage experts responsible for a wide variety of space upgrades. Remodel consists of project managers, designers, and engineering support to address larger multi-trade projects.

Operations Management
Leader: Associate Vice President Sandy Sheahan
Responsible for operating and maintaining buildings, roads, grounds, and utilities for all campus instruction facilities and sites.

Facilitates a supportive work environment and an engaged workforce by providing training, consultation, and services in the following areas: safety, payroll, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, compensation, and performance management.
Operations Accounting
Leader: Assistant Director Amanda Smith
Provides oversight of the departmental budget and operations-related accounting to assist with development of best practices which enable effective, accurate management of the financial policies and processes.
FM Information Technology
Leader: Assistant Director Michael Dobbins
Provides service and support for the Facilities Management team, related to computer and information technology needs.
