GIS PLANNING SPECIALIST

The FM Campus Planning section would like to introduce Lyle Church who started on Monday, 8/14, as the new GIS Planning Specialist.

Originally from Colorado, Lyle spent the last three and a half years in North Carolina—and he is excited to return to Colorado. He joins FM with five years of GIS experience shared between local government and the private sector, primarily in utilities, real estate, and creating routing solutions using GIS.

In his new position, he will provide professional mapping system services and information management for the planning and analysis of the University’s assets. He will be responsible for the maintenance, development, and support of the University’s geodatabase (field data collection, mapping, and reporting needs) inclusive of the outward facing maps like the CSU interactive map. Lyle will also be coordinating with stakeholders across FM and the community as needed.

Lyle is an avid football fan, enjoys The Office TV show, and has been fortunate to travel to parts of Iceland, Germany, and Italy. Please welcome Lyle to Facilities Management.

ESPECIALISTA EN PLANEACIÓN GIS

La sección de Planeación del Campus de FM quiere presentarles a Lyle Church quien empezó a trabajar con nosotros el lunes 14 de agosto como el nuevo Especialista en Planeación GIS.

Originalmente de Colorado, Lyle pasó los últimos tres años y medio en Carolina del Norte—y está feliz de regresar a Colorado. Se une a FM con cinco años de experiencia GIS compartida entre gobiernos locales y el sector privado, principalmente en servicios de luz, agua y gas, bienes raíces y creando soluciones de enrutamiento para GIS.

En su nuevo puesto, Lyle proveerá servicios profesionales de sistemas de mapeo y gestión de información para la planeación y el análisis de los activos de la Universidad. Él será el responsable de mantener, desarrollar y apoyar la base de datos geoespaciales de la Universidad o geodatabase (recolección de datos del campo, mapeo y reporte de necesidades) incluyendo los mapas públicos como el mapa interactivo de CSU. Lyle también coordinará con las partes interesadas de FM y de la comunidad según sea necesario.

Lyle es un gran aficionado al fútbol americano y disfruta el programa de televisión The Office. También ha tenido la buena fortuna de viajar a partes de Islandia, Alemania e Italia. Por favor den una cordial bienvenida a Lyle en Facilities Management.
