Accounting & Finance Updates

Please welcome two new employees to the FM Accounting & Finance section within Facilities Management. You may already have had a chance to meet Drisana Willner and Samuele Hammond who joined FM a couple of weeks ago.

Drisana is an Area Accountant & Lease Specialist. She has experience working with various types of people and collaborating with diverse teams. Up until recently, she worked as a Master Data Analyst for JBS, where she was on an IT project team helping to migrate a global install base covering North America, Australia, Europe, and Mexico from an older version of a software to an upgraded and more efficient model. Before that, she was a billing coordinator in AR (accounts receivable), responsible for handling companies such as Costco, Tyson, and even commodity credit for schools through the USDA. Additionally, she has worked in AP (accounts payable) in international freight, where she handled the payment of invoices on behalf of JBS with large vendors such as MSC, Aqua Gulf, and Cosco Shipping. She’s even worked at places such as Topgolf.

In her new position, she provides accounting services to Facilities Management for administration, Building Services, and Outdoor Services in the area of budgets, financial management and reporting, university billings, and department receivables. She will also provide services to the university community and non-university entities in the areas of financial reporting, real estate leases, billings, and deposits.

Drisana loves working and collaborating with people in a supportive environment that values the opinions of others. She appreciates sincerity in the workplace through means of communication and respect for others. One fun fact about Drisana is that she has four younger siblings and a dog named Pepper.

Samuele is an Area Accountant, taking on the accounts for the Trades and Logistics groups. This is his first professional job as an accountant, and he’s excited to learn as much as possible to help this team thrive, commenting that it will be “a challenging task, but one I look forward to mastering.”

He moved to Fort Collins in early September from Reno, Nevada. Samuele enjoys being outdoors as much as possible—mountain biking, golfing, snowboarding, or just hanging out at the lake. He said, “What a great change of pace it has been. I love the charm of this town—not too big, not too small. Colorado has so much to offer, and I am excited to make this place my home.”
